Home News & Events Waterloo Lodge School in the community
Waterloo Lodge School pupils grew their own daffodil bulb pots in the horticulture area. Pupils then spent the day visiting various community organisations: Brothers of Charity, the local foodbank and Buckshaw Retirement Home. Staff and pupils hand delivered the Spring gifts to local neighbours. The pupils were an absolute credit to Waterloo Lodge School and fantastic representatives. Our Neighbours loved the gifts and talking to the pupils. This was a wonderful day of getting out into our local community and building strong relationships with businesses, charities and neighbours.
One of our neighbours took the time to send a lovely email to the Executive Head Teacher, to thank the school and the pupils
Hi, I live locally to the school and came home today to find the kind gift of daffodils left on our doorstep. I just wanted to send a message to thank you and your students for the kind gesture: they are beautiful and really brightened what had been a stressful day!
Thank you so much once again
